  Contradictions: If it becomes oxidized, it may cause irritation or sensitization. There is an indication that it may interfere with those with blood disorders and those on blood thinners. It is suspected that this effect may be due to the presence of Estragole, also known as methylchavicol, in the oil. "According to essential oil safety second edition Robert Tisserand/ Rodney Young, p553, Estragole have an in vitro antiplatelet effect. This effect is compared to diluted aspirin solution". Please check with your doctor prior to using this oil. Recommendation of 1-3% dilution with a carrier oil. Do not use undiluted.
